Jean-Baptiste BOULARD

Jean-Baptiste BOULARD (1725-1789)

Master on April 17th, 1755. This excellent carpenter was attached to the service of the Garde Meuble de la Couronne, for which he worked from 1777. During the first part of his career , he produced Louis XV style seats, then essentially Louis XVI style. Few signs can be noticed to recognize its production, except from a palmette pleated found quite often at the top of the feet.

After the death of the carpenter, his widow will continue to make deliveries to
Garde Meuble de la Couronne unti 1792. She then provided the Empire court until her death in 1808. Her son, Jacques Michel, remained in operation until 1823.
