A nice painting, oil on canvas (re-lined ) representing a country lane with a herd.
Signed below left Charles Beauverie ( 1839-1923 ).
He was a pupil of the school of the Beaux- Arts of Lyon then Paris. He lived in Paris between 1863 and 1864, mostly painting in Fontainebleau. He went back to Lyon from 1864 until 1868 and finally settled down in Paris until 1888. He painted a lot in the area of Auvers sur Oise between 1872 and 1880. He exhibited regularly at the Salon de Paris.
